This table covers the financial data (such as operating expenses and revenues) and employment of companies in the Netherlands controlled by an institutional unit abroad. The data are consistent with Eurostat's Foreign Affiliates Statistics (FATS).
Data available from: 2021.
Status of the figures: 2021 and 2022 figures are final.
Changes as of Februari 10, 2025: The figures for R&D expenditures and R&D employees have been revised. Additionally, the unit for employed persons has been changed to thousands. Also a different method for calculating confidentiality has been applied, resulting in more data being available.
Also this tabel has been updated with data from 2022. This table is the successor of the table "Foreign control companies in the Netherlands; 2008-2020" which reports at a different SBI level. Data in this table can be compared, where SBI, UCI and subject match (see paragraph 3).
When will new figures be published? New figures will appear in the fall of 2025.
