Dataset
Description
De Actuele Wegenlijst wordt door de Centrale Informatievoorziening (CIV) samengesteld. In deze publicatie zijn alle, aan CIV bekende, mutaties in het (genummerde) rijkswegennet verwerkt. De rijkswegen zijn onderverdeeld naar Planwegen (1- 99) en Planvervangende wegen (200 tot en met 838 en 915). Aan de basis van de indeling liggen het Tweede Structuurschema Verkeer en Vervoer (SVV-II) en het Meerjarenprogramma Infrastructuur en Transport (MIT 2000 - 2004) ten grondslag.

De Actuele Wegenlijst is herzien en verbeterd. Vanaf nu wordt de data uitsluitend gepubliceerd volgens het nieuwe formaat.

De Actuele Wegenlijst biedt informatie over de lengte van wegen en wordt samengesteld op basis van het actuele Nationaal Wegen Bestand (NWB). Het proces voor het bepalen van de actuele wegen is aanzienlijk geautomatiseerd en geoptimaliseerd. In tegenstelling tot de oude Actuele Wegenlijst, die handmatig werd bijgewerkt, is dit nu een volledig geautomatiseerd proces geworden. Bovendien worden verschillende attributen herzien, omdat feedback heeft aangetoond dat sommige niet langer relevant zijn. Om de lengte van de wegen/wegdelen zo exact mogelijk te bepalen, worden er nu ook op- en afritten meegenomen in de berekening.
Met deze aanpassingen kan het nodig zijn dat eindgebruikers ook hun eigen systemen moeten aanpassen. Het gebruik van de Actuele Wegenlijst is meestal geïntegreerd in verschillende services.
